According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee, up to now, the total output of the 4 main construction packages is 47.2% (exceeding about 0.30% of the contract value). Of which, package No. 42 has achieved progress of 42.06%/42.06%; package No. 43 has achieved progress of 45.69%/45.54% (exceeding about 0.15%); package No. 44 has achieved progress of 57.52%/56.61% (exceeding about 1.01%); package No. 45 has achieved progress of 45.02%/44.91% (exceeding about 0.11%)...

The total capital allocated at the beginning of 2025 is 3,449,247 million VND. To date, 276,200 million VND/3,449,247 million VND has been disbursed, reaching a rate of 8%. The project has completed 100% of the site clearance work and is being implemented to ensure progress according to the set plan. Difficulties in the supply of common materials (sand, stone) for the project have basically been resolved. It is expected that the groundbreaking ceremony for the resettlement area will take place in March 2025.

At the meeting, members of Steering Committee 2168, leaders of relevant departments, branches, localities, contractors and construction units discussed, exchanged, and resolved difficulties and obstacles; proposed solutions to speed up construction progress. Thereby, the contractors committed to the leaders of An Giang province and Steering Committee 2168 of An Giang province to strive to complete the project in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister before June 30, 2026.

Concluding the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of Steering Committee 2168 of An Giang province Le Hong Quang praised the efforts of agencies, units, localities, contractors, engineers and workers to speed up construction progress beyond the set plan.

To complete the first phase of the project in June 2026 in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister, An Giang Provincial Party Secretary Le Hong Quang requested that members of the Steering Committee, the Working Group, and contractors continue to promote their sense of responsibility, based on the assigned tasks, promptly and well implement the assigned key tasks. The Provincial Project Management Board closely monitors the progress of the project implementation every week to promptly urge implementation. At the same time, coordinate with construction contractors, design consultants, and supervision consultants to research and propose solutions for implementation to ensure progress, quality, and efficiency. During the implementation process, it is necessary to ensure labor safety, environment, hygiene, and reduce the impact on people's lives.

In addition, proactively develop a detailed implementation plan; a plan to allocate the volume of sand and stone by week and month, ensuring that the project construction progress is met. Regularly monitor, strengthen inspection and supervision of the exploitation and transportation of material sources (sand and stone) for the project, ensuring publicity, transparency and compliance with regulations; resolutely prevent corruption, waste, negativity and group interests. The exploitation, transportation and use of sand sources must be for the right purpose, in sufficient quantity, in accordance with the law, ensuring environmental safety and hygiene, and not affecting people's lives.

An Giang Provincial Party Secretary Le Hong Quang requested: The Provincial Project Management Board urgently coordinates with relevant sectors and units to accelerate the progress of resettlement area construction to stabilize the lives of affected households in March 2025. For other auxiliary and supplementary works, it is necessary to review the implementation process to adjust the implementation plan accordingly, ensuring completion in parallel with the progress of the main project.

The Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee 2168 of An Giang province is ready to meet with contractors to promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles in the construction process, in order to speed up the implementation progress and ensure the quality of the project. At the same time, contractors are mobilizing machinery and means of exploitation to organize the construction to speed up the completion of the project, ensuring the right progress and quality according to the commitment with the Steering Committee 2168 of An Giang province.

Each member of the Steering Committee and the Working Group continues to enhance their responsibility in performing their tasks; proactively handle work according to assigned tasks, promptly report and seek opinions on complex, sensitive issues, and newly arising issues beyond their authority.
