6 planning projects approved
Recently, people in the communes of Dong Xuan, Mai Dinh and Phu Lo (Soc Son district) were very excited when the Soc Son Urban Area 6 Planning Project, scale 1/2000, was officially approved by the Hanoi People's Committee.
The project has a research area of over 533 hectares, with the East bordering the intersection of the existing National Highway 18 with the new National Highway 18 (planned); the North bordering the direction of the new National Highway 18 (planned) - bordering Sub-areas 2 and 3.
The South of the planning project borders the existing National Highway 18; the West borders the inter-regional planning road (from Noi Bai International Airport to Dong Quan Lake) and the airport vicinity. The estimated population by 2030 is about 16,330 people.
Soc Son urban area 6 is an urban construction area with the main functions: industrial (small and medium industrial clusters); public, mixed-use serving the university urban area and supporting services of Noi Bai International Airport; ecological green park area; urbanized villages.
Head of the Urban Management Department of Soc Son district Nguyen Xuan Thang said that in mid-May 2024, the District People's Committee, the Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture, and the Hanoi Institute of Construction Planning coordinated to publicly announce the content of 3 Soc Son urban subdivision planning projects (area 1, area 2, area 4), scale 1/2000.
Previously, in July 2023, the Hanoi People's Committee also approved the planning task of two other urban subdivisions of Soc Son, Zone 3 and 7, at a scale of 1/2000. Thus, up to now, the Hanoi People's Committee has approved 6 Soc Son Urban Sub-Zone Planning projects, at a scale of 1/2000, with a total area of up to tens of thousands of hectares.
Tightly manage zoning planning
According to the project to adjust the general planning of the capital until 2045, with a vision to 2065, Soc Son district is located in the planning of the northern city of Hanoi. The northern city is expected to include the districts of Dong Anh, Me Linh and Soc Son, with a total area of about 633km2.
Soc Son district is also one of the five localities included in the satellite urban development plan of Hanoi city, along with satellite cities: Son Tay (Son Tay town), Hoa Lac (Thach That district), Xuan Mai (Chuong My district) and Phu Xuyen (Phu Xuyen district).
Vice Chairman of Soc Son District People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc emphasized that the Soc Son District Master Plan was approved many years ago. Recently, with the attention of Hanoi People's Committee and departments, 6 Soc Son Urban Sub-Zone Planning projects (Zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7) have been completed.
“The completion of the Soc Son urban zoning plans is an opportunity to concretize the Hanoi Capital Construction Master Plan, the Soc Son District Construction Master Plan and the Soc Son Satellite Urban Master Plan that have been approved by competent authorities…” - Mr. Pham Quang Ngoc emphasized.
The People's Committee of Soc Son district has requested communes and towns to publicly and in detail inform the contents of the planning project so that people can know and implement it together. Actively and proactively coordinate closely with departments in proposing the District People's Committee to include it in development projects. At the same time, be responsible for inspecting, supervising and managing construction in accordance with the planning approved by the Hanoi People's Committee.
In the approval decisions for 6 Soc Son Urban Zoning Planning projects that have been issued, the Hanoi People's Committee requested the Soc Son District People's Committee and the Department of Construction to be responsible for inspecting, supervising, and managing construction in accordance with the planning; handling cases of construction that violate the planning according to their authority and legal regulations.
