The People's Committees of districts, towns and cities are responsible for managing, operating, exploiting and maintaining urban and district road infrastructure.

Accordingly, the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities (District-level People's Committees) are responsible for managing, operating, exploiting and maintaining urban and district road infrastructure within the administrative boundaries under their management; and road databases for urban and district roads.

In case there are bridge, tunnel, and ferry projects located within the administrative boundaries of two or more districts, the City People's Committee shall consult with the relevant district-level People's Committee before deciding on a district-level People's Committee to be assigned to manage these projects.

The People's Committees of communes, wards and towns (Commune-level People's Committees) are responsible for managing, operating, exploiting and maintaining road infrastructure and road databases for commune and village roads within the administrative boundaries under their management.

In case there are bridges, tunnels, and ferry terminals located within the administrative boundaries of two or more communes, the District People's Committee shall consult with the relevant Commune People's Committee before deciding on a Commune People's Committee to be delegated to manage these projects.

The naming, renaming, and numbering of urban roads, district roads, commune roads, and village roads shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of Article 11 of the Road Law dated June 27, 2024 and a number of other relevant provisions.

Abolish Decision No. 68/2020/QD-UBND dated December 31, 2020 of the Provincial People's Committee promulgating Regulations on management and protection of road traffic infrastructure; management of branch roads connecting to provincial roads in the province (now Hue City).
