New regulations on operating hours of environmental sanitation vehicles and vehicles transporting loose waste in urban areas

Accordingly, from April 4, 2025, environmental sanitation vehicles and trucks carrying loose waste are not allowed to operate in urban areas between 6:00 and 8:00 and between 16:30 and 19:00 every day. Trucks carrying construction materials are allowed to operate in urban areas at all times of the day.

This regulation does not apply to environmental sanitation vehicles and waste transport vehicles operating in emergency situations such as natural disasters, storms, floods, and for emergency cleaning at the request of competent authorities.

The Provincial People's Committee assigns the Department of Construction, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, and relevant agencies to monitor, supervise, promptly detect, handle or propose handling of environmental sanitation vehicles, vehicles carrying construction materials, and loose waste operating in urban areas that violate traffic order, safety, and environmental sanitation according to their authority. Owners of environmental sanitation vehicles, vehicles carrying construction materials, and loose waste must take measures to ensure environmental sanitation, prevent environmental incidents, and be responsible for handling incidents if they occur during operation.
