The project to build and purchase library equipment for students of Mai Son Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities started in October 2024. To date, the project has been completed and handed over for use.
This library project was funded by the Vietnam Children's Fund through SHB Bank with a total cost of 365 million VND. This is one of 5 libraries for disadvantaged children sponsored by SHB Bank in 2024 through the Vietnam Children's Fund.
Since 2021, SHB Bank, through the Vietnam Children's Support Fund, has implemented many practical and meaningful programs and projects to supporteducation and healthcare for children in special and difficult circumstances nationwide with a total funding of nearly 19 billion VND.
Mr. Dinh Tien Hai - Director of the Vietnam Children's Fund shared: The library support program is an activity with practical and deeply humane meaning. Through the cooperation process between the Vietnam Children's Fund and SHB Bank, we believe that the library system is effectively exploited and well maintained by schools. And in the future, we hope that schools will continue to add more rich books, contributing to helping students have the opportunity to access knowledge, arousing a passion for reading from a young age to help their dreams and ambitions in the future.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Children's Fund presented Mai Son Primary Boarding School with a water purifier worth 10 million VND; presented the school library with 10 sets of English reading pens worth more than 22 million VND. In addition, the Nghe An Provincial Children's Fund mobilized sponsors to present 30 gifts of necessities (500,000 VND/gift) to disadvantaged students of the school; presented the school library with some new books worth 10 million VND. The total value of gifts presented at the ceremony was more than 47 million VND./.
