Vietnam Children's Fund supports libraries for disadvantaged children in Nghe An

On April 17, 2025, in Mai Son commune, Tuong Duong district, Nghe An province, the Vietnam Children's Fund (VCF) coordinated to organize a ceremony to attach a signboard to the library and give gifts to disadvantaged children at Mai Son Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities.

The project to build and purchase library equipment for students of Mai Son Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Tuong Duong District, Nghe An Province) started in October 2024. The library project was funded by the BTTEVN Fund and Saigon - Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( SHB ) with a total cost of 365 million VND. This is 1 of 5 libraries for disadvantaged children in 2024.

Mr. Vo Duc Thuan - Deputy Director of SHB Nghe An Branch, representative of Saigon - Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank spoke at the ceremony.

Mr. Dinh Tien Hai - Director of BTTEVN Fund - shared that the library support program is an activity with practical and deeply humane meaning, contributing to helping students have the opportunity to access knowledge, arousing a passion for reading from a young age to help their dreams and ambitions in the future.

On this occasion, BTTEVN Fund presented Mai Son Primary Boarding School with 01 water purifier worth 10 million VND; presented the school library with 10 sets of English reading pens worth more than 22 million VND.

In addition, the BTTE Fund of Nghe An province mobilized sponsors to present 30 gifts of necessities (500,000 VND/gift) to disadvantaged students of the school; presented the school library with some new books worth 10 million VND. The total value of gifts presented at the ceremony was worth more than 47 million VND.
