In the first quarter of 2025, deer antler production increased by more than 7%

In recent years, not only in Huong Son district but also in many localities in the province, people have chosen to raise deer to develop their family economy . Therefore, in the first quarter of 2025, Ha Tinh's deer herd increased in both total herd and velvet production.

Deer antler output harvested in the whole province increased by 7.3% compared to the same period in 2024

By the end of the first quarter of 2025, the whole province had a herd of over 50,300 deer, concentrated in Huong Son, Huong Khe, Cam Xuyen, Can Loc districts, Ha Tinh city... In which Huong Son district alone - the locality considered the capital of deer farming has a total herd of over 47,000. Also in the first quarter of 2025, the output of harvested deer antlers in the whole province reached 8,800 kg, an increase of 7.3% over the same period in 2024.... deer have few diseases, do not pollute the environment, and have high economic value, so people are continuing to increase the size of the herd.

Local authorities also encourage businesses and cooperatives to deeply process products from deer antlers, in order to increase product value and sustainably develop deer farming in Ha Tinh.
