This is the first time a film has been entered into competition at the Vietnam Film Festival, and also the first time he has attended a major domestic film festival, so Quoc Toan is extremely excited.
The actor shared: "The days attending the Film Festival for me were just like the first time I fell in love. Perhaps the 23rd Vietnam Film Festival was my first love. It was a happy and difficult feeling to describe when I found out that my film was selected for the Film Festival.
I clearly felt the scale and solemnity of a grand event held in a beautiful space and also clearly felt the friendliness of the audience at the Film Festival."
Also at the 23rd Vietnam Film Festival, Quoc Toan watched the entire film Hong Ha Nu Si for the first time. Watching his role on the big screen again, many emotions during the making of the film came flooding back to him.
For a young actor like Quoc Toan, being chosen to play the role of the famous Dang Tran Con is an honor, a blessing, and also a big challenge.

Sharing about his role, Quoc Toan said that the role of Dang Tran Con brought him many challenges.
"First of all, it's the time gap. The setting and story are 300 years ago, at that time there were no cameras and modern equipment, so the remaining documents are only on Google and books.
I also went to all the bookstores in Hanoi but could hardly find any place that sold poems and documents written about Mr. Dang Tran Con. The documents were only available at the Han Nom Institute.
I have also visited his grave many times to feel, clean and enjoy the atmosphere there, a very peaceful, cool space in the middle of bustling Hanoi, just like his old age personality.
As for learning to write, I have also practiced writing for a long time and practice writing every day to create a habit," Quoc Toan said.
The actor added that before this role, he was a person who loved sports and practiced regularly to act in action movies, but when playing the role of a poet and mandarin, Quoc Toan stopped all activities for a long time so that his body could adapt to the movements, gestures, and demeanor of a mandarin rather than a military mandarin.

"I lost 5 kg for one scene, which was the last scene of the movie. That day, I lost weight so quickly that my body was always in a state of shaking hands, pale face. In return, the effect on the movie was very good, I really liked that scene even though I didn't act much, the character was thinner than the previous scene", he shared.
After the screening, the film crew and Quoc Toan's role received positive feedback from the audience. People's Artist Minh Duc commented: "Toan's performance was very restrained, leaving an impression with the role of Dang Tran Con". Writer Vo Thi Xuan Ha said: "Toan has achieved the quality of Dang Tran Con, who is both handsome, romantic, talented and carefree!"
Those comments have given Toan great motivation. He added: "After attending the Film Festival, meeting and talking with seniors in the profession, I feel so small, needing to learn more and be more creative to bring more attractive roles to the audience."
Actor Quoc Toan was born in 1995 in Thanh Hoa . From childhood until middle school, because his family did not have the means, Quoc Toan did not have the habit of watching TV. It was not until high school when he accidentally watched a movie about the legendary Bruce Lee that Toan nurtured his initial dream of becoming an action actor.
The Thanh Hoa boy has worked many jobs and made constant efforts to find acting opportunities for himself.
Up to now, Quoc Toan has had roles in both film and television, as well as many different sitcom and drama projects. In which, Quoc Toan is known for two main male roles: Tao in Sleeping City and cultural celebrity Dang Tran Con in the film Hong Ha Nu Si.
