
Accordingly, after listening to the National Assembly Standing Committee report on the results of the delegation's discussion on issues related to the vote of confidence, the National Assembly established a Vote Counting Committee and conducted the vote of confidence by secret ballot. The results will be announced at the beginning of the working session this afternoon (October 25).
Previously, on the afternoon of October 24, the National Assembly heard the report on the list of people to be voted on at the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly and voted to approve the list of 44 people to be voted on with 95.34% of the total number of National Assembly deputies participating in the vote in favor.

According to the provisions of Resolution No. 96/2023/QH15 of the National Assembly dated June 23, 2023, the National Assembly will take a vote of confidence for the following positions: President, Vice President, Chairman of the National Assembly, Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly, members of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Secretary General of the National Assembly, Chairman of the Council of Nationalities, Chairmen of the Committees of the National Assembly, Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers, other members of the Government, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy, State Auditor General.
According to the provisions of the Constitution and laws, the total number of people holding positions elected or approved by the National Assembly since the beginning of the term of the 15th National Assembly is 50 positions. Currently, there are 49 people holding positions elected or approved by the National Assembly.

Resolution 96/2023/QH15 stipulates that no vote of confidence will be taken for office holders who have announced their resignation pending retirement or have been elected or appointed in the year of the vote of confidence. Therefore, there are 5 people elected or approved in 2023 who will not be subject to a vote of confidence, including: President Vo Van Thuong; Deputy Prime Ministers Tran Hong Ha and Tran Luu Quang; Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh and Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee Le Quang Manh.

During the working session this morning, the National Assembly listened to the report on explanation, acceptance and revision of the draft Law on Identification by Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee and Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense and Security Le Tan Toi; then discussed in the hall a number of contents with different opinions on this draft law.

On behalf of the presenting agency, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security To Lam explained and clarified a number of issues raised by National Assembly deputies.
