On the afternoon of October 24, the National Assembly began the process of taking a vote of confidence on positions elected or approved by the National Assembly.
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said that reports on the work of those who were voted for have been sent to National Assembly deputies for study. Reports on the asset declarations of those who were voted for will be sent to National Assembly deputies for consideration and study.
According to the National Assembly Chairman, the National Assembly Standing Committee did not receive a report summarizing voters' and people's opinions and recommendations sent to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and did not receive any opinions from National Assembly deputies sent to the National Assembly Standing Committee related to the person subject to the vote of confidence.

Next, the National Assembly listened to the Head of the Delegation Affairs Committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh present a report on the proposed list of people to be voted on for confidence.
According to Ms. Thanh, Resolution 96 stipulates a vote of confidence for the President, Vice President; Chairman of the National Assembly, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the Ethnic Council, Chairman of the National Assembly Committee, Secretary General of the National Assembly; Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, Ministers, other members of the Government; Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy and State Auditor General.
The resolution also states that those who have announced their retirement or have been elected or appointed in the year of the vote of confidence are not eligible for the vote of confidence.
Therefore, this National Assembly will not take a vote of confidence for five new personnel elected and approved in 2023: President Vo Van Thuong, Deputy Prime Ministers Tran Hong Ha and Tran Luu Quang, Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee Le Quang Manh, and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh.
Thus, this time the National Assembly will vote on 44 candidates. Of these, 2 candidates will be voted on for the 4th time; 12 candidates will be voted on for the 2nd time and 30 candidates will be voted on for the first time.
As a result, with 471/472 delegates participating in the vote, the National Assembly approved the list of 44 people to be voted on at the 6th Session.
