Today (June 2), continuing the 5th Session, the National Assembly voted to pass the Resolution on the Law and Ordinance Development Program for 2024, adjusting the Law and Ordinance Development Program for 2023.
This is one of three resolutions expected to be voted on by the National Assembly at this session, along with the Resolution on taking a vote of confidence and voting for people holding positions elected or approved by the National Assembly and People's Councils, and the Resolution on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Ho Chi Minh City.
Previously, in the plenary session in the hall on May 23, the National Assembly gave opinions on the draft Law and Ordinance Development Program for 2024 and adjustments to the Law and Ordinance Development Program for 2023.
Delegates contributed many specific opinions on adjusting the program, emphasizing the need to increase predictability in law-making work, proposing many solutions to strengthen discipline, individualize responsibilities, and ensure the best implementation of the Law and Ordinance Making Program for the entire term in general and the annual Law and Ordinance Making Program in particular...
Also on today's working day, the National Assembly listened to the Presentation and Verification Report on the projects: Law on Telecommunications (amended) and Law on Citizen Identification (amended).
At the same time, discussions were held in the hall about two other draft laws drafted by the Ministry of Public Security, including: the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on People's Public Security and the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Exit and Entry of Vietnamese Citizens and the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam.
During the discussion, Minister of Public Security To Lam will explain and clarify a number of issues raised by National Assembly deputies.
