Global Firepower's military strength rankings take into account more than 60 factors such as equipment sophistication, finances, geography and resources...
The rankings only assess militaries from a conventional perspective, not taking into account a country's ability to carry out a nuclear strike, its military's training and education, its intelligence services or the effectiveness of its military command structure.
The rating scale is reflected through the military strength index (PwrIndx), in which the perfect index is 0.0000, the lower the index reflects the higher the country's conventional combat capability.
