Que Tran and Vo Minh Lam reunite with "The Singer"

On the morning of July 3, producer Hoang Song Viet of the Dai Viet New Opera Theater announced the project to stage a stage opera called "The Singer".

Producer Hoang Song Viet said that with the criteria of giving young artists the opportunity to approach good plays and difficult characters, so that these actors can try to create "new marks" for their acting careers, his stage will stage the play "The Singer" (author Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc, adapted from the short story "The Virtuous Woman" by writer Nguyen Quang Sang; adapted to Cai Luong and directed by Meritorious Artist Hoa Ha).

"After the works were voted for the Mai Vang Award by readers of Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper, this year, despite the difficulty in terms of time due to having to participate in many theater festivals, we still tried to produce this work to express our gratitude to the audience's affection" - playwright Hoang Song Viet said.

Meritorious Artist Que Tran happily said that this is an opportunity for her and artist Vo Minh Lam to live together with two characters that previous generations of talented artists such as Meritorious Artist Vu Linh, Meritorious Artist Phuong Hong Thuy, artist Ngan Tuan, and artist Linh Tam have successfully portrayed.

As for artist Vo Minh Lam, he was moved because he will be able to play the role of the late Meritorious Artist Vu Linh in the new version. "This continuity will bring many valuable opportunities for us to bring creativity to the role, inheriting the legacy from the previous generation" - artist Vo Minh Lam expressed.

Notably, on the opening day of the first performance (scheduled for the evening of August 26) at Tran Huu Trang Theater, there will be the participation of Meritorious Artist Phuong Hong Thuy and writer Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc (adapted author) from the US.

Dai Viet New Reform Theater also aims to bring "The Singer" to perform in many provinces and cities, possibly on tour in Hanoi.

In charge of the music for "The Singer" will be Meritorious Artist Van Mon and musician Cao Minh Thu; stage design: painter Van Hoa; traditional orchestra: Meritorious Artist Van Mon; Meritorious Artist Hai Phuong, artists Tran Son, Nhut Dung, Duy Kim; Thanh Long, Thanh Hoang and Phu Quy; choreography: director Le Viet and Phuong Viet dance troupe.

In addition to the two stars Que Tran and Vo Minh Lam, the play also features Meritorious Artist Kim Tu Long and artist Minh Truong.
