The movie Life is Still Beautiful has just gone through the climax of the tragedy for the character Luu "nat" (Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai). Having to face the debt of losing his car and his son "reporting" nearly 100 million VND in loan shark money, Luu almost collapsed.
Too desperate, he decided to sell his blood to get money to "turn over" his son's debt. On the way home, exhausted, Luu rummaged through trash cans to find food. Finally, he decided to sell his kidney to pay off all his debt but met his son there.
Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai's performance moved MC Ha Dan's whole family.
The successive tragedies that befell the character gave Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai the opportunity to demonstrate his top acting ability, bringing tears to the eyes of the audience. As an actor in the film but also an audience member, MC Ha Dan shared:
“My whole family are loyal viewers of the movie Life is Beautiful. When watching the tragic scenes of the character Luu, everyone in my family shed tears.
Every look, gesture, and line of Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai was so good that it easily touched everyone's emotions. Father Luu made the movie-watching atmosphere in my family quiet.
As a young actor, Hoang Hai's excellent scenes like this make me learn a lot. To be able to portray such emotional and realistic scenes, I think he has researched the character, observed reality and experienced a lot.
I feel proud to work with artists who love their jobs and have a lot of experience like you guys in Life is Still Beautiful".
Ha Dan cried until her eyes were swollen during the scene where she broke up with her boyfriend.
Ha Dan herself, playing the role of Nga in recent episodes, also had many climaxes in her acting. When she learned that her boyfriend was in debt, Nga tried to help him, even begging and arguing with her mother to get money to support Thach.
But because of his inferiority complex, Thach repeatedly said harsh words to force Nga to accept the breakup. For Ha Dan, those were the scenes that really made her cry:
“I am a sensitive person, so when filming the scenes where Nga was being rudely treated by Thach and asked to break up, I cried until my eyes were swollen and my makeup was gone.
After a long time playing Nga, the character's mood has "soaked" into me, so when reading the script, every line between Nga and Thach when they parted or Thach's cruel scenes afterwards made me feel like my heart was being squeezed.
Ha Dan's acting is increasingly winning over the audience.
There was backlash because the first episodes did not really impress with her acting, but towards the end of the episodes, Ha Dan's character conquered the audience even more.
The female MC and actress revealed that because she sympathized with the character, she decided not to rehearse or film a test to keep the emotions for the scenes of breaking up with her boyfriend:
“I asked the director for permission not to rehearse or try filming, but to film straight away so as not to lose my emotions. Even when learning the lines, I didn’t dare look into Thach’s (Viet Hoang) eyes, I was afraid I would cry right from the moment I learned the lines.”
Because she was so absorbed, Ha Dan couldn't even stop crying after the scene ended: "When filming the breakup scene, Nga cried and turned her back. I knew that when she turned her back, there would be no more cameras to capture her, but I still couldn't stop crying because I was sad, I felt sorry for Nga, I felt sorry for Thach, I felt sorry for the young couple's love story.
Those scenes when broadcast received a lot of sympathy from the audience, which made me feel very encouraged."
