On December 18, information from the People's Committee of Quang Tri province said that it had just approved the Thong Nhat Park project at the special national relic site on both banks of Hien Luong - Ben Hai.

The decision was signed by Mr. Hoang Nam, Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee, approving the investment items for the renovation and renovation of the flagpole, Hien Luong bridge, complex house, office building of the relic management board and the north bank toilet, reception house and south bank toilet area along with other auxiliary items and temporary works.

For Hien Luong Bridge, the project will replace a part of the rusted and damaged iron and steel frame, replace the bridge surface wood with 50 mm thick ironwood, repair and reinforce the bridge abutments with carbon fiber panels...

In addition, the project will also invest in specialized equipment to serve the cinema room, commentary and management work. The entire project has a total investment of 80 billion VND, implemented in 2 years from 2023 - 2025 (including the time to complete the procedures).

The project was approved with the aim of building a historical theme park, effectively promoting the cultural and historical values ​​of the special national relic site on both banks of Hien Luong - Ben Hai.
