In the first 9 months of 2024, Quang Ninh's economic growth rate (GRDP) reached 8.02%, many indicators were higher than the same period in 2023. Of which, the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 20.45%. Total state budget revenue reached 40,479 billion VND, equal to 73% of the estimate.
In the first 9 months of 2024, the whole province had 1,342 newly established enterprises (an increase of 7.6% over the same period in 2023), bringing the total number of enterprises in the province to 11,669 operating enterprises. Quang Ninh became the 6th locality in the Red River Delta in terms of enterprise development.
On this occasion, Quang Ninh province also announced and awarded certificates of merit from the Prime Minister and the Provincial People's Committee to enterprises and businessmen with outstanding achievements in production, business, caring for workers' lives, implementing tax policies, social security in the area...
Notably, the province has 3 private enterprises in the top 500 largest private enterprises in Vietnam (VR500), namely: Bim Group Corporation; Ha Long Investment and Development Company Limited; Ha Long Beer and Beverage Joint Stock Company...
Despite suffering a lot of damage caused by storm No. 3, Quang Ninh's economic growth still maintained a stable growth rate according to plan. This result is due to the support and companionship of the province and the proactiveness and flexibility of the business community and entrepreneurs in the province.
Notably, the business community has joined hands and contributed with other organizations and individuals in the area to support the amount of money that has now reached nearly 110 billion VND to support the locality and people to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3.
Businesses operating in the tourism sector in Ha Long Bay, despite heavy damage caused by storm No. 3, have quickly restored operations.
With the view that only when businesses develop can the province develop; social security, life, and jobs of people and workers are guaranteed... Quang Ninh always pays special attention and accompanies businesses through many appropriate mechanisms and policies.
Typically, in order for businesses to quickly stabilize production and business, expand product consumption markets, and seize new business opportunities, Quang Ninh has focused on implementing solutions to promote production and business of enterprises.
At the same time, continue to promote administrative reform, improve the investment environment, implement priority credit support programs, support the fields of processing and manufacturing industries, mineral exploitation industry, services, tourism, etc.
Notably, the support and assistance to businesses to recover production and business after Typhoon Yagi. Quang Ninh Province has organized many meetings with the State Bank of Vietnam, the State Bank of Vietnam Quang Ninh branch and credit institutions on implementing banking credit solutions to support businesses and people affected by Typhoon No. 3.
At the same time, the province has requested banks and credit institutions to promptly deploy support packages for people and businesses affected by the storm. In particular, the units focus on exempting and reducing interest rates, deferring, extending, and postponing debt for customers who are borrowing; expanding the beneficiaries; guiding and simplifying procedures... The province also commits to providing maximum support in terms of mechanisms and policies for businesses to restart production.
According to the set target, from now until 2030, Quang Ninh strives to establish an average of about 2,000 new enterprises/year; the business sector contributes about 70% of the province's GRDP; about 38% of total employment in the economy.
The rate of enterprises participating in import-export activities in the total number of operating enterprises will reach about 10%; by 2030, there will be at least 10 enterprises in the top 500 enterprises under the VNR 500 Program...
