By opening booths to promote destinations and tourism products at festivals and tourism fairs in Ho Chi Minh City, this year, Quang Ninh tourism industry has innovated its approach to tourism promotion by directly working with travel agencies, thereby providing information about new tourism products, new destinations and short-term and long-term plans for Quang Ninh tourism development for each travel agency with different strengths in domestic tourists, international tourists, and luxury cruise tourists.
Mr. Tran Doan The Duy, General Director of Vietravel, one of the largest domestic travel agencies, said: This is a very new thing in tourism promotion and creates an intimate atmosphere connecting tourism businesses with Quang Ninh province. Through working sessions like this, it is an opportunity for businesses to clearly understand the province's orientations on new tourism products, as well as local support policies for businesses and tourists.
Sharing this view, Ms. Mai Phan Kim Yen, Sales Director of Tan Dong Duong Trading and Tourism Company, one of the leading units in exploiting high-spending international tourists from countries such as Japan and Germany, shared: Direct tourism promotion like this will be a new trend between tourism businesses in general and travel agencies in particular, working together with localities to build new tourism products, promote and attract more international visitors to Quang Ninh in particular and Vietnam in general.
Not only introducing to travel agencies traditional tourism products as well as tourism products and destinations that Quang Ninh province has just put into operation in Bai Tu Long Bay; connecting the chain of destinations connecting the World Natural Heritage of Ha Long Bay with Yen Tu after being recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage; border tourism... at these direct tourism promotion sessions, it is also an opportunity for the Quang Ninh tourism industry to listen to opinions and suggestions from travel agencies in communicating to tourists, building tours suitable to the trend; coordinating to promote tourism images through films; promoting tourism through sports, music, festivals, cultural events...
Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Phung, Director of Asia Outlook Travel Company, one of the leading travel agencies in exploiting cruise tourists, said: We bring international tourists to many localities in the country, but no locality has a new approach in promoting tourism by coming directly to us to listen to the proposals in tourism development that Quang Ninh province is implementing. I think that this will be a very good approach, because no one understands what tourists want and need better than the travel agencies themselves, thereby giving advice to Quang Ninh province to take strong actions, build and develop tourism products, and anticipate trends.
With practical innovation, focusing on specific content in tourism promotion with travel agencies, units working directly with tourists will be one of the important solutions for Quang Ninh tourism to strive to exceed 20 million visitors and contribute to the province's economic growth in 2025.
