Quang Ngai was funded nearly 46 billion VND to sustainably improve children's welfare, especially the most vulnerable children in the mountainous district of Son Ha.
On May 22, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province issued a decision to accept the Son Ha Regional Program sponsored by World Vision Japan and World Vision USA through World Vision International (WVI) USA in Vietnam .
The program is implemented in 6 communes including: Son Bao, Son Thuong, Son Giang, Son Hai, Son Ba and Son Cao of Son Ha district (Quang Ngai province), with a total estimated capital of more than 45.9 billion VND (non-refundable aid capital). Implementation period is from May 2024 to September 30, 2027.

The program aims to sustainably improve the well-being of children, especially the most vulnerable children in Son Ha district, through project interventions: child protection and child participation; health and nutrition; livelihoods and community resource mobilization and child protection plans.
Thereby, contributing to reducing the rate of underweight and stunting in children under 5 years old from 24% and 31.8% in 2023 to below 20% and below 28% in 2027; achieving 90% of children in the project area with improved self-protection skills against forms of abuse, school violence, and injuries.
Reduce the poverty rate from 25.4% in 2023 to below 15% in 2027; achieve 100% of local partners to have enhanced capacity in effective program/project management and operation.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the People's Committee of Son Ha district to be responsible for organizing, implementing, and coordinating with the sponsoring unit and relevant agencies and units in the process of planning to receive and implement the program in accordance with regulations, correct subjects and objectives.
In addition, based on actual local needs, propose to the research sponsor to adjust the annual operation plan, submit to competent authorities for approval, ensure the suitability, practicality and effectiveness of the activities; ensure security and social order.
