According to the leader of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai city, dividing the areas helps people to bring their cars to the gathering point as quickly as possible and avoid the situation of "running head-on" to find a place to park when there is a flood, leading to more flooding due to not knowing where to park.

Head of the Quang Ngai City Urban Management Department Tran Dinh Truong said that the locations included in the city's map of parking lots during major floods in Quang Ngai City have been surveyed, evaluated, and calculated by the unit and specialized agencies to be very safe, ensuring that tens of thousands of cars can park during natural disasters. Most of these areas have never been flooded.

Only then can damage during the rainy season be minimized," Mr. Truong recommended.
According to Mr. Truong, proactively moving cars to high places is the most effective measure to avoid flooding, especially when there is a risk of major flooding. In cases where the vehicle is surrounded by floodwaters and cannot be moved, depending on the situation, you can consider using bricks to "lift" the car up, or using tarpaulins or specialized life jackets to prevent the car from being flooded.
Many people in Quang Ngai city said that the Quang Ngai city leaders' effort to survey and find parking places for people before the heavy rain and floods was a very meaningful action.
