On that 95-year journey, with solidarity, unity of will and aspiration to rise up, the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Nam have achieved many miracles, creating premises and a solid foundation for the province to develop quickly and sustainably, confidently moving towards the goal ahead with the whole country.
Milestones
After the Communist Party of Vietnam was born, on March 28, 1930, at Cay Thong Mot, Cam Ha commune (now Tan Thanh block, Tan An ward), Hoi An city, the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee was established, the second earliest provincial Party Committee in the country, after the Hanoi City Party Committee. This was a political event of great significance to the Party Committee and the People of Quang Nam province in the cause of fighting for national independence, building and defending the homeland and the country.
After 95 years of construction and growth (1930 - 2025), nearly 40 years of implementing the Party's renewal policy (1986 - 2025), 50 years of liberation (1975 - 2025), especially after nearly 30 years of re-establishment, the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee has led the army and people of the whole province to establish very proud achievements.
With its sensitivity, flexibility, especially the creative application of the "Japanese - French Directive on fighting each other and our actions", the Party Committee led the people in the province to promptly seize the opportunity to revolt and seize power in August 1945, making Quang Nam one of the earliest provinces and cities in the country to revolt and seize power.
During the 9-year resistance war against the French colonialists (1945 - 1954) and the 21-year long resistance war against the US to save the country (1954 - 1975), the Quang Nam revolutionary movement overcame numerous difficulties and fierce challenges, completing the task of completely liberating the homeland (March 24, 1975), contributing worthily to the cause of completely liberating the South and unifying the country (April 30, 1975).
Fifty years after the liberation of the homeland, nearly 30 years of re-establishment, from a poor, purely agricultural province, Quang Nam has now created positive changes in all fields, building the image, appearance and position of a proactive, creative Quang Nam in thinking; correct, decisive in action... The outstanding mark is the very rapid economic breakthrough; the material and spiritual life of the people has been improved. From a province in the poorest group in the country, having to receive a subsidy of more than 70% of the central budget, by 2024 the scale of Quang Nam's economy was more than 129 trillion VND, belonging to the group of provinces and cities that contribute to the central budget. The rate of poor households has decreased rapidly, by 2024 it will be only 4.56%; the whole province has 137/193 communes recognized as meeting new rural standards; the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses has been focused on and achieved many positive results...
The remarkable highlight of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee is that from nearly 80 party members at the end of 1930, by the end of 2024, the entire Party Committee had 1,119 grassroots party organizations with 73,495 party members. Party members were trained in practice and matured remarkably, the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the party organization and party members were increasingly enhanced.
The above victories are thanks to the correct leadership, innovative and creative thinking, strong political will, solidarity, unity of political ideology, and revolutionary actions of the Quang Nam Party Committee, which have been supported and supported by the people in the province. These achievements have been built and nurtured through many successive generations, creating a premise and a solid foundation for the province to develop rapidly and sustainably, confidently entering a new era with the whole country, an era of the Vietnamese people's rise.
Confidently step into the new era
Inheriting and promoting the achievements, the 22nd Congress of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025, emphasized the goal of striving for Quang Nam to become a fairly developed province of the country by 2030. That goal is also the aspiration - the aspiration to strive to rise from the mettle, will, strength and spirit of solidarity of the people of Quang. It is the crystallization of the intelligence, vision, will and aspiration of the entire political system and all classes of people in the province for the development of their homeland. That aspiration is built on the foundation of inheriting and promoting the achievements throughout the past journey. At the same time, it is also the mission that Quang Nam must resolutely carry out in order to realize the goal of "the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country".
Realizing the goals and aspirations for the development of Quang Nam province according to the Resolution of the 22nd Congress of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, at forums and conferences, the leaders of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee always emphasized the top solution is to focus on building and rectifying the Party; improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party, associated with building a clean, strong, streamlined, effective and efficient political system. Building a contingent of Party members and cadres at all levels, especially key cadres, who are truly virtuous, talented, and up to the task. Thereby, strengthening the people's trust and attachment to the Party, the State, and the socialist regime.
Along with accelerating economic growth, taking care of social security, improving the material and spiritual life of the people..., Quang Nam aims for sustainable development along with improving scientific and technological capacity; developing high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. And the foundation for sustainable development, associated with the correct leadership of the Party, is to promote the strength of great national unity and the roots of cultural values and people of Quang Nam. Turning to the history, traditions and culture of Quang Nam land, those values have been proven, the more difficult and challenging the situation is, the more clearly the people of Quang Nam show their mettle, qualities, intelligence, calmness, creativity, and aspiration to rise up.
The achievements over the 95 years of the establishment of the Provincial Party Committee and the 50 years of the liberation of the homeland are extremely important, creating a solid foundation and a great driving force for Quang Nam to continue writing its glorious history, creating miracles in the new period. The road ahead is opening up many new opportunities and advantages for Quang Nam; but there are also many difficulties and challenges. Determined to successfully achieve the goal of making Quang Nam a fairly developed province in the country by 2030, the Party Committee, government and people of the whole province continue to promote the revolutionary tradition of the homeland. From the achievements that have been built up, the valuable experiences of previous generations, "aspiration" is the driving force to continue to join hands to bring the land of Quang Nam to develop comprehensively, strongly, and break through, together with the whole country entering a new era - the era of rising up.
Quang Nam organizes political activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding
Today, February 3, the Provincial Party Standing Committee held a conference in person combined with online political activities for the whole province "New Era - The Era of Rising of the Vietnamese People and Tasks and Solutions for Quang Nam to Enter a New Era" to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Provincial Party Committee (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Quang Nam (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025).
Through the political activities, each cadre and party member of the province will have a fuller and deeper understanding of the glorious historical tradition of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee over the past 95 years. Proud of 95 springs with the Party, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee calls on cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, union members and association members of the province to continue to strive to overcome all difficulties and challenges, develop the socio-economy more strongly; build a clean and strong Party and political system; maintain national defense and security. The whole province needs to mobilize and arouse all resources, motivations and creativity; exploit and use all hidden potentials, opportunities and advantages of the province, of each party organization, party member, each level, each sector, each agency, unit, enterprise and each Vietnamese citizen. More than ever, Quang Nam needs to promote the spirit of solidarity, unity, and "dare to speak, dare to think, dare to do, dare to make breakthroughs for the common good", determined to successfully achieve the goal of becoming a fairly developed province of the country by 2030.
