Quang Nam actively responds to National Week for Natural Disaster Prevention

Taking place across the province from May 15-22, the National Week for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control 2025 has the theme “Sustainable and disaster-resilient communities”. The program aims to raise awareness and responsibility of authorities at all levels, organizations, and people, contributing to building a safe society, ready to respond to natural disaster risks, towards sustainable development.

Activities are required to be implemented economically, practically, and in accordance with local conditions. Propaganda work is promoted through press channels and online platforms. Banners, posters, documents, and leaflets with appropriate content on disaster prevention are widely distributed to spread the message of disaster prevention.

Direct and online communication campaigns will focuson education , changing community behavior, and improving disaster response skills. In schools, propaganda content is integrated into lectures, helping students grasp how to protect themselves and their communities from storms, floods, landslides, and other hazards.

From May 15-22, propaganda vehicles with banners and posters will parade on main roads and key areas. Localities are also encouraged to organize disaster response drills and inspect disaster prevention infrastructure such as dikes, reservoirs, and evacuation areas. Departments, branches, and localities will proactively implement the plan to ensure effectiveness and on schedule.
