The location for the tour is expected to be a fairly isolated area, surrounding the water coconut forest near Cua Dai Bridge, serving groups of guests who love to explore the ecological space of rivers and choose tranquility. This tour is aimed at guests from European countries.

Through field surveys, the delegation, including departments in Quang Nam province and Hoi An city, all determined that the tour opening plan was feasible.

Once formed, the tour will take visitors to a primeval coconut forest area, located next to the Thu Bon River, which has been little exploited for a long time.

In the immediate future, Cam Thanh commune will establish procedures to implement infrastructure projects, dredge waterways, coordinate surveys and planning for passenger pick-up and drop-off stations, build demonstration sites, etc. All tasks must be done urgently to set the goal of putting the tour into operation in 2024.

Bay Mau Coconut Forest (also known as Cam Thanh Coconut Forest) is a unique forest of nearly 300 hectares located at the mouth of the Thu Bon River, about 4km from Hoi An ancient town.

This primeval forest is located in the buffer zone of the Cu Lao Cham World Biosphere Reserve and is a famous historical site.

This coconut forest is not only a breeding ground for shrimp and fish but also a priceless protective forest. Since 2017, the coconut forest has officially opened for ticket sales and now welcomes more than 3,000 visitors every day.

However, the tourism boom has also brought with it a series of consequences such as chaos in the tourism business, encroachment and destruction of coconut forests, and the spontaneous emergence of many reinforced concrete docks, causing the government to have a headache in finding solutions.
