Quang Nam develops 167 party members who are students in the first 6 months of 2024

As of June 30, 2024, the whole province had admitted 987 new party members, reaching 51.95% of the resolution, exceeding 25% over the same period last year; of which 167 party members were students.

Since 2020, the province has admitted 361 students (320 students and 41 university students) to the Party, accounting for 4.6% of the total number of new Party members developed during this period. Of the total number of new Party members who are students, there are 224 female Party members, accounting for 62% of the total number of students.

According to analysis, the number of new party members among students tends to increase over the years. Specifically, in 2020, 25 students were admitted to the Party; in 2021, 41 students were admitted to the Party; in 2022, 45 students were admitted to the Party; in 2023, 56 students; and in the first 6 months of 2024, 153 students were admitted to the Party. Meanwhile, the number of new party members among students at universities and colleges is always fluctuating and tends to decrease over the years.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee assessed that the results of the work of developing party members in the past time showed the efforts of grassroots party committees in developing plans, examining, verifying and preparing records and procedures for admitting party members.

The quality of newly admitted party members has been improved, especially those with high achievements in studying and in mass movements. The number of newly admitted party members who are union members and young people accounts for a large proportion; among them, many comrades are union cadres, contributing to improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of party organizations.

The entire Provincial Party Committee has 22 subordinate Party Committees, including 18 district, town and city Party Committees and 4 Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee, with 1,118 grassroots Party organizations, including 384 grassroots Party Committees and 734 grassroots Party cells, 2 departmental Party Committees, 3,352 Party cells directly under grassroots Party Committees, with a total of 72,595 Party members.
