In the scorching heat of late summer, instead of having to wait in line for a long time to complete administrative procedures like before, now Ms. Le Thi Anh Tuyet (Ly Truong village, Binh Phu commune) only needs a few simple steps on the Public Service Kiosk to complete. After selecting the documents and procedures to submit on the Kiosk screen, Ms. Tuyet accesses by scanning the QR code of the VNeID application on her phone to log in.

At this time, the Kiosk screen displays a request for Ms. Tuyet to enter complete information, check and confirm all the components of the application. The types of documents attached to the application that need to be submitted just need to be inserted into the scan slot, the machine will automatically create a copy and return the original documents on the spot. After completing the steps, the Kiosk asks to re-check the entered information and enter the confirmation code. When confirming the information, the system displays that the application was successfully submitted and the machine automatically prints the application receipt, after which Ms. Tuyet receives the appointment paper and leaves to wait for the day to return the results.

For me, when carrying out administrative procedures, applying information technology is very convenient. Before, I had to queue and wait, but now there is a kiosk that only requires simple operations and I can also easily know the progress of the application processing” – Ms. Tuyet said.

The Public Service Kiosk for receiving administrative procedures is very compact, at first glance it looks very similar to an ATM. The device is made up of a touch screen computer system, integrated printer + scanner, QR Code scanner and is connected to the Public Service Portal via Wifi network. The convenience of the Kiosk is that all content is displayed in Vietnamese, the operation is simple, the process is quick, suitable for the level of all citizens, especially for older citizens. After the citizen submits the procedure, the file will be transferred to the Public Service Portal for officials to receive, process and return the results on time.

“I find this machine very convenient for farmers, the form of use is simple, just click submit and the result will be scheduled. When I have something to do with procedures, I can go there to submit it myself, then go home to take care of the farm work, it is much easier than before and very suitable for farmers who do not understand information technology like us” – Mr. Nguyen Van Dien in Duc An village, Binh Phu commune shared.

The Public Service Kiosk is located at the one-stop shop of Binh Phu commune. In addition to the smart sensor system, exploiting data from VNeID, through the automation technology supported at the Kiosk, people do not need to directly contact the staff receiving and returning results. At the same time, they can evaluate the level of satisfaction with the handling of documents, thereby contributing to improving the responsibility and initiative of the staff receiving and processing documents. In the long term, the Kiosk can move to public places such as village cultural houses, crowded residential areas when citizens need to carry out administrative procedures according to events, so it is very flexible.

Mr. Tran Thanh Hai - Chairman of Binh Phu Commune People's Committee shared that this Kiosk system creates conditions for dialing numbers to ensure resolution, and is also a measure for people to approach and evaluate civil servants. " Previously, without the Kiosk, many people came directly, and the processing time for one file was very long, leading to overload and inconvenience for people waiting. Now through the Kiosk, people can submit their own files and receive appointment slips, which is very convenient..."

Mr. Pham Ngoc Hiep - Deputy Director of VNPT Quang Nam said, implementing the project model 06, VNPT coordinated with the government to deploy the solution of automating the public administration center and the one-stop department through the Public Service Kiosk . "This kiosk receives results and prints the appointment paper to receive results very quickly. With such features, we hope to bring convenience to people and businesses in performing online public administration. In the coming time, we will have a specific assessment of the effectiveness of the point in Binh Phu commune, through which VNPT will expand to communes and wards in the whole province to synchronize on the online system with the goal of bringing Quang Nam to maintain a good level nationwide in the Index of serving people and businesses".

Improving people's satisfaction, saving costs for state agencies, or enhancing the responsibility of civil servants are the initial results of the pilot Public Service Kiosk in Binh Phu commune. In addition, this model has been doing a good job of exploiting data from the VNeID app, thereby gradually effectively implementing the goals of Project 06, effectively serving the administrative reform and digital transformation of the province in the coming time./.
