Quang Nam proposes a plan to arrange and set up the working headquarters after the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus.

On the afternoon of April 9, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province held a meeting to listen to the Ministry of Finance deploy the implementation of the Conclusion of the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee on preventing corruption, waste and negativity. Chairing the meeting at the Provincial People's Committee bridge was Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung and representatives of relevant departments, branches and localities .

Overview of the meeting

The meeting focused on discussing two topics: reviewing and handling constructions and real estates that are public assets when arranging and streamlining the apparatus and administrative units; and reviewing projects, constructions, and headquarters under construction or approved for construction investment policies that are affected by the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus and administrative units. The meeting also noted many proposals and recommendations from sectors and localities related to the arrangement and handling of public assets so that localities have a basis for developing plans to arrange, arrange, and handle working headquarters and public assets; and providing guidance on handling unfinished projects that are nearly completed in localities.

In Quang Nam, the province currently has 865 public service units, with 3,089 civil servant positions and 27,661 public employees receiving salaries from the state budget. It is expected that the number of public employees, civil servants, and workers after the arrangement will be transferred to the new units in their original state and arranged according to the roadmap prescribed by the Central Government. Regarding the current status and demand for headquarters after the arrangement, based on the review of information on real estate at agencies and units under the management of Quang Nam province, there are a total of 2,614 establishments.

Quang Nam proposed that the Ministry of Finance provide guidance on reviewing and planning plans for arranging and relocating working offices according to regulations on standards and norms; and promptly issue legal documents so that localities have a basis to implement the arrangement plan according to the requirements of competent authorities.
