Quang Nam rewards 75 students who won national prizes in the 2024-2025 school year

The Department of Education and Training has commended and rewarded 70 students who won prizes at the National High School Excellent Student Competition and 5 students who won prizes at the National Science and Technology Research Competition for High School Students in the 2024-2025 school year.

In addition to the certificates of merit from the Provincial People's Committee (first, second and third prize winners), and certificates of merit from the Department of Education and Training (encouragement prize), the students also received many gifts from THACO Auto Group, VNPT Quang Nam, and Viettel Quang Nam.

Attending and congratulating the results achieved by the education and training sector and students, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan affirmed: This is a very proud achievement, worthy of the tradition of good learning of the land of "Five phoenixes flying together".

Mr. Tuan hopes that students, teachers and the provincial Department of Education and Training will continue to promote the tradition of Quang Nam and strive to achieve high results in the coming years.

It is known that the National High School Excellent Student Competition for the 2024-2025 school year in Quang Nam achieved the highest results in many years with a total of 70 prizes; including 2 First prizes, 12 Second prizes, 28 Third prizes and 28 Consolation prizes.

Of which, two first prizes were awarded to the twin brothers Nguyen Tri Hien and Nguyen Tri Hau (Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted, Tam Ky City). Overall, students from Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted won 37 prizes, Le Thanh Tong High School (Hoi An City) 32 prizes and Do Dang Tuyen High School (Dai Loc) 1 prize.

At the National Science and Technology Research Competition for High School Students in the 2024-2025 school year, Quang Nam had 3 projects by 5 students winning prizes, including 1 Second Prize (Nguyen Nguyen Khoi - Student of Huynh Thuc Khang High School, Tien Phuoc), 1 Third Prize and 1 Promising Prize (Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted).

Mr. Thai Viet Tuong - Director of the Department of Education and Training shared that over the years, the Quang Nam Education and Training sector has achieved many proud results, in which the quality of key subjects has been increasingly improved, which is the driving force for the whole sector to make more efforts to improve the quality of teaching and learning.

In the results of the province, in addition to students from two specialized schools, this year there was also student Huynh Tan Duc from Do Dang Tuyen High School (Dai Loc) selected to compete and excellently won second prize in Informatics.

This year, Quang Nam continues to affirm its leading quality, when out of 90 students participating in the competition, 70 won prizes and the quality tends to increase.

Notably, there are 4 students selected by the Ministry of Education and Training to participate in the Olympic team selection exam (all are students of Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted), including: Nguyen Tri Hien, Nguyen Tri Hau (First prize in Math), Nguyen Le Tran (Second prize in Math), Lam Hung Thien Phuc (Second prize in Chemistry).

As a result, twin brothers Nguyen Tri Hien and Nguyen Tri Hau were selected to join the Vietnamese team to participate in the Regional Olympic Competition in Turkmenistan on April 21.
