Quang Nam plans economic growth target for 2026

The report of the Provincial People's Committee said that on January 17, 2024, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 72 approving the Planning of Quang Nam province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050. Accordingly, by 2030, Quang Nam strives to become a fairly developed province of the country; an important growth pole of the Central - Central Highlands region.

Quang Nam will have a synchronous and modern infrastructure network; develop aviation, seaports, logistics services, tourism, automotive mechanical industry, mechanical engineering, and electricity at regional level; form a national center for pharmaceutical industry, deep processing of agricultural and forestry products, and silica; have high-quality vocational training facilities; have a rich cultural identity; most medical and educational facilities meet national standards; have a synchronous urban system, linked with rural areas. The average economic growth rate (GRDP) in the period of 2021 - 2030 will reach more than 8%/year.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, in order to strive to complete the approved planning goals, contributing to creating the premise for becoming a developing country with modern industry and high average income by 2030, the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee expects the province's economic growth target for the 2026 - 2030 period to be 11.5%.
