The intangible cultural values have been focused on and improved in quality by the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board (Duy Phu Commune, Duy Xuyen District, Quang Nam), attracting tourists, especially international visitors, to return to My Son in recent months.

In the first half of October 2024 alone, My Son World Cultural Heritage welcomed nearly 13,700 visitors, mainly international visitors, bringing the total number of visitors to My Son to nearly 352,000 in more than 9 months, with revenue reaching nearly 60 billion VND, an increase of nearly 30% over the same period last year, approximately equal to the revenue of the years before COVID-19.

Director of the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board Nguyen Cong Khiet shared that in addition to the main product of the ancient towers, art programs such as "Legendary My Son Night," folk art performances, traditional Cham Pa dances at the foot of the ancient towers... have been invested in thoroughly by the Cham Folk Art and Culture Department, creating unique tourism products of My Son.

In particular, through the work of collecting, excavating and restoring, the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board has added many valuable images, documents and artifacts, the latest addition being the newly discovered zodiac route leading to the Heritage journey.

These products not only contribute to preserving traditional cultural values, but also bring new features and liveliness to the relics. They are highly appreciated and enthusiastically welcomed by tourists, especially international visitors, on every tour to My Son.

To both improve service quality and preserve heritage, the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board has coordinated with Indian experts to build an additional exhibition house and digitize many artifacts found during excavation and archaeology within the Heritage site.

The My Son World Cultural Heritage has added Italian and Spanish languages to its multilingual commentary product, bringing the total number of languages explained at the site to 8, including Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, French, English, Italian, and Spanish.

Visitors just need to enter the ticket code or scan the QR code with the "My Son Relics" application on the App Store or CH Play, the My Son temple complex with 40 mysterious stories corresponding to 40 stops will take visitors to the magical world of My Son, the valley of gods on a digital platform.

Experiencing the mystical My Son Valley, Ms. Lindy, a tourist from the United States, shared that with the multilingual tour, visitors have the opportunity to expand their understanding of the My Son World Cultural Heritage in the appropriate language.

In museums and famous monuments around the world such as the Louvre Museum (France), the National Museum of London (UK), and the Metropolitan Museum of Art (USA), Audio Guide technology is used instead of human tour guides. Therefore, using technology to explain the values of the World Cultural Heritage My Son is a good way to help visitors learn a lot of useful information about this heritage.

On the other hand, to create harmony with nature and the space of the heritage site, along with moving service facilities away from the core area of the relic, the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board has invested in many infrastructure items such as upgrading the quality of roads to the tower groups, rest stops, developing environmentally friendly electric car services; investing in building new sanitary facilities at suitable locations, renovating the clean water supply system, misting systems to cool walking paths and electric car routes to both protect the environment and be suitable for modern tourism.

According to Director of the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board Nguyen Cong Khiet, from now until 2030, in addition to traditional products, eco-tourism and cultural tourism products will be developed in the buffer zone and core zone of the nearly 1,200ha landscape forest of the Heritage.

To effectively implement this goal, the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board will promote regional, area, domestic and international linkages with large tourist markets; effectively maintain the Hue-Da Nang-Quang Nam linkage "Three localities - One destination" and promote linkage activities with major tourist centers such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City./.
