On the morning of November 25, speaking with VietNamNet, Mr. Nguyen Hong Vuong, Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Bac Tra My district (Quang Nam) said that in recent days, communes in the district have experienced widespread heavy rain, causing the risk of landslides that threaten people's lives.

To proactively ensure the safety of people's lives and property, from last night (November 24) to this morning, Bac Tra My district mobilized forces to evacuate 138 households with 523 people in 13 communes and towns to safety.

According to a quick report from the Quang Nam Provincial Office for Disaster Prevention and Control, heavy rains have caused landslides at several locations on highland roads. In Bac Tra My District, landslides occurred on Highway 24C running through Tra Do and Tra Nui communes; and on the road from Tra Giap commune to Tra Ka.

In Nam Tra My district, there are 4 landslides. Of which, the road to Mr. Deo village in hamlet 2, Tra Don commune has landslides, subsidence, and severe damage. DH6 route has a landslide at one point on the negative slope in hamlet 1, Tra Don commune, causing the soil to slide away on the negative slope, creating a frog jaw under the concrete roadbed...
