In the period of 2026-2030, Quang Nam province needs more than 5,700 billion VND to invest in 7 projects in the fields of irrigation and aquaculture.
Quang Nam Province Chairman Le Van Dung has just signed a document to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development proposing a medium-term public investment plan for the 2026-2030 period.
Accordingly, Quang Nam province needs to allocate capital for 7 projects, with a total investment of more than 5,700 billion VND.
In the field of irrigation and irrigation services, there are 5 projects.
Specifically, the Quang Hue Dam Project, with a total estimated investment of 500 billion VND, in Dai Loc district. The project aims to build a new Quang Hue river dam to prevent salinity and keep fresh water for the Vu Gia - Thu Bon river system, using reinforced concrete, including compartments with a steel valve system, on the dam combined with a reinforced concrete traffic bridge.
The project of Dams to prevent saltwater intrusion on Vinh Dien River and Upgrading the dams of An Trach irrigation system, with a total estimated investment of 450 billion VND, in Dien Ban town. The project will build a dam system to prevent saltwater intrusion and retain fresh water on Vinh Dien River with a length of about 150m, build Tu Cau pumping station to replace the old pumping station and upgrade Thanh Quyt dams and Bau Nit dams of the An Trach irrigation system which have seriously degraded.

Specifically, the Thanh Ha Fishing Port project, with a total estimated investment of 400 billion VND and the Fishing Boat Anchorage and Storm Shelter Project in the 3 communes of Tam Tien, Tam Hoa and Tam Xuan, with a total estimated investment of 500 billion VND.
According to Quang Nam province, the proposed projects are based on the planning of Quang Nam province for the period 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050, the planning of Irrigation, Fisheries and strategic orientation for the development of the Agriculture and Rural Development sector in the direction of prioritizing investment in works to ensure water security; adapt to climate change, prevent and overcome large-scale natural disasters, inter-regional and inter-provincial impacts and works that are meaningful in promoting socio-economic development.
