In the 2024-2025 crop year, Quang Hoa district estimates that raw sugarcane output will reach 176,532/171,150 tons, reaching 103% of the plan, exceeding 103% over the same period. The remaining amount will be harvested in March 2025.
In 2024, the district will plant 2,504/2,445 hectares of sugarcane (1,863 hectares of sugarcane left, 641 hectares of new planting), with an estimated yield of 705 quintals/ha and an estimated output of 176,532. Currently, the purchase price ranges from 1,200 VND/kg for type A, 1,150 VND/kg for type B, 1,100 VND/kg for type C, mainly sold to Cao Bang Sugarcane Joint Stock Company.
To support people and businesses in the sugarcane harvest, the district proactively contacted and organized dialogues between businesses, cooperatives, people and authorities at all levels to disseminate information and investment policies as well as receive feedback to have plans and solutions to promptly overcome and support.
In addition, the district cooperates with a number of companies to supply dozens of tons of sugarcane seeds to households in the communes of Thi Hoa, Thong Nhat, and Co Ngan (Ha Lang) to plant in the direction of production linkage and product consumption.
