Closing the group stage with the top spot in Group B, Quang Hai is with the Vietnamese team in Singapore preparing for the first leg of the AFF Cup 2024 semi-final at 8:00 p.m. on December 26, at Jalan Besar Stadium.

The vice-captain of the Vietnamese team said: "We arrived here and felt the weather was different from the rainy and humid season in Singapore. But the training atmosphere in the Vietnamese team is still very good. The whole team is looking forward to the first leg of the semi-final with high spirits.

We are going through a fairly dense competition schedule. After the match with Myanmar, I had a little muscle problem so I needed time to recover 100%. Today, I feel better to return to training with the team."

Good news for the Vietnamese team when the two "wounded soldiers" Hai Long and Ngoc Tan have returned to training. This gives coach Kim Sang-sik more options as except for Van Toan who has a ligament injury, 25/26 players are ready to fight.

Besides the weather, the artificial turf at Jalan Besar will be the biggest challenge. Remember at the AFF Cup 2024, Coach Park Hang-seo and his team were held to a 0-0 draw in Singapore. Most recently, Xuan Son and Van Vi joined Nam Dinh Club to draw 3-3 with Tampires Rovers at Jalan Besar in the AFC Champions League 2.

Besides, we have played a lot on artificial turf, so there should not be many difficulties. Regarding the team, we have to change the way we play according to the instructions from the coaching staff of the Vietnam team.
