Localities in Quang Dien district organize inspection and removal of wild bird traps

Quang Dien district has a forest area of ​​over 1,008.49 hectares; of which, production forest is 877.47 hectares, protection forest is 131.02 hectares, forest cover is 5.62%.

Last year, in Quang Dien district, there were 5 fires in areas adjacent to planted forests, grasslands, and along traffic routes. However, thanks to proactive management, protection, and development of forests, the fires were promptly handled, preventing the fires from spreading and affecting the forest.

Localities in Quang Dien district have organized many inspections and removed wild bird traps. Thereby, 21 violations of hunting and trapping wild birds were discovered; 7,160m2 of nets, 438 bamboo poles used for setting nets, 500 plastic sticks, 80 fake storks made of foam, and 2 sound transmitters of subjects secretly hunting and trapping wild birds were destroyed.

Based on the achieved results, the conference focused on discussing, pointing out the shortcomings and difficulties, and proposing solutions to better implement forest management, protection and forest fire prevention in 2025.
