Quang Binh participates in the 5th Exhibition of Ho Chi Minh City and friendly provinces and cities in Savannakhet

(Quang Binh Portal) - On April 2, 2025, at the Savannakhet International Exhibition Center, Savannakhet Province, Laos, the opening ceremony of the 5th Ho Chi Minh City and Friendly Provinces and Cities Exhibition in Savannakhet 2025 took place. The delegation of Quang Binh province participating in the exhibition was led by Mr. Phan Hoai Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade.

The Ho Chi Minh City and friendly provinces and cities exhibition in Savannakhet is an important event in promoting cooperation between localities of the two countries. Through each exhibition and cultural exchange, the cooperative relationship between provinces and cities of Vietnam and localities of Laos has become increasingly close, sustainable and long-term.

This year's exhibition has more than 250 booths with the participation of more than 50 enterprises from 07 localities of Laos and overseas Vietnamese in Australia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and more than 130 enterprises from Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Long An, Gia Lai provinces... and Ho Chi Minh City. The exhibition displays many different types of products, including: Agricultural products, processed foods, consumer goods, handicrafts, tourism services. In addition, many unique cultural and artistic exchange activities also take place to contribute to strengthening the solidarity and friendship between the people of the two countries.

Within the framework of the exhibition, a conference on Trade and Investment Promotion between Laos and Vietnam was held. Speaking at the conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Binh province, Phan Hoai Nam, provided some information about the current status of trade promotion activities between Quang Binh and Savannakhet.

Accordingly, in recent years, the two provinces of Quang Binh and Savannakhet have actively implemented many trade promotion programs and activities to connect businesses, promote the circulation of goods and attract investment. Some outstanding results are: The two sides have coordinated to organize many working delegations to connect businesses, survey the market, and seek potential partners; international trade fairs held in Quang Binh and Savannakhet have brought high efficiency in promoting and introducing products and finding business partners; currently, there are about 25 enterprises of the province operating in export and import to the Lao market; in the field of renewable energy alone, AMI Renewables Quang Binh Investment Joint Stock Company is implementing the AMI Savannakhet Wind Power Plant Project in Se Pon district, Savannakhet province with a total investment of over 2 billion USD and an expected capacity of 1,220 MW...
