"Border Spring - Warming the hearts of the villagers" in Quang Binh province has held many activities to help ethnic minorities and soldiers in border areas celebrate Tet with warm military-civilian relations.
On the afternoon of January 17, the Quang Binh Provincial Border Guard Command coordinated with departments, agencies, organizations, and philanthropists to organize the program "Border Spring - Warming the hearts of the villagers" in the border commune of Thuong Trach (Bo Trach district).
Mr. Le Ngoc Quang, Secretary of Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee, along with leaders of the Provincial Border Guard Command, provincial and local agencies and departments, and a large number of officers, soldiers and people in Thuong Trach commune attended the program.
The program "Border Spring - Warming the hearts of the villagers" in Thuong Trach commune took place with rich and practical activities attracting the participation of many people and soldiers.
Specifically, organizing folk games, the “Green Banh Chung” festival; “0 Dong” Tet market; inaugurating and handing over the “Great Solidarity House”; giving Tet gifts to local people and officers and soldiers of the armed forces on duty in the border area.
The program presented nearly 1,200 gifts, 400 pairs of banh chung, 2 livelihood models, 20 wardrobes, 50 sets of warm blankets with a total value of nearly 710 million VND to the Ma Coong and A Rem people living in Thuong Trach commune.
It is known that in recent days, Border Guard Stations in the border area of Quang Binh province have coordinated with localities, departments, and organizations to simultaneously organize the program "Border Spring - Warming the hearts of the villagers" to support and help people celebrate Tet.
Within the framework of the activities of the program "Spring Border Guard - Warming the hearts of the villagers", Bo Trach district (Quang Binh) held an inauguration ceremony and handed over temporary and dilapidated houses to ethnic minorities in Con Roang village, Thuong Trach commune.
Accordingly, 11 out of 20 houses in Con Roang village, which started construction at the end of November 2024 and were sponsored by benefactors, have been completed.
These houses are built according to a sample design, ensuring that they are suitable for the landscape and customs of the local people, including: internal traffic system; water system for daily life; electricity system; public toilets...
The handover of 11 houses before Tet helps people settle down, stabilize their lives and celebrate Tet in the joy of their new homes.
On this occasion, the Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee and the working delegation attended the inauguration ceremony of the project "Lighting up the countryside" in Con Roang village and the groundbreaking ceremony to demolish temporary and dilapidated houses for 8 households in Cu Ton village, Thuong Trach commune, Bo Trach district.
