On the afternoon of April 9, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau held a Taiwan tourism promotion seminar with the participation of 28 travel agencies, hotels, resorts, souvenir businesses from Taiwan and nearly 100 outbound tourism operators from Vietnam. The seminar aimed to enhance cooperation and cultural and tourism exchanges between Vietnam and Taiwan (China).

According to the Taiwan Tourism Bureau, the cooperation and exchange between Taiwan and Vietnam is becoming increasingly deeper. After Taiwan implemented the “Guan Hong Project” (simplifying visa procedures for group tourists), the number of tourists to Vietnam has increased significantly, reaching 382,529 in 2023; the recovery rate reached 94% of 2019, the time before the Covid-19 pandemic. Vietnam is an important tourist market for Taiwan.

At the workshop, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau, the Crown Coastal Tourism Federation, Heping Island Geopark and Taiwanese airlines introduced the destination potential, cultural and tourism beauty of Taiwan, and tourism support levels to help Vietnamese businesses better understand Taiwan's tourism resources and environment.

Taiwan aims to welcome 12 million Vietnamese visitors this year.

After the conference, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau and tourism businesses will participate in the International Tourism Fair - Hanoi VITM 2024 at the Hanoi International Exhibition and Convention Center from April 11 to 14. At this fair, the Taiwan tourism booth is designed in a unique pearl milk tea style.

Currently, international visitors to Taiwan will enjoy many incentives, such as: Participating in lucky draw programs, preferential tickets combining high-speed trains, subways and buses for tourists.
