On September 30, at the 12th European Overseas Vietnamese Business Forum, an event took place to promote the Program and products achieving the Vietnam National Brand (THQG).
Implementing the tasks and plans for 2023, the Secretariat of the Vietnam National Brand Program - Trade Promotion Agency coordinated with the European Overseas Vietnamese Business Association, the Vietnamese Business Association in Hungary and related units to organize an event to promote the Vietnam National Brand Program and products achieving the National Brand on September 30 at the 12th European Overseas Vietnamese Business Forum in Budapest, Hungary.
The forum had more than 350 delegates attending, including: Leaders of some ministries, branches, business associations, Hungarian trade promotion organizations, Vietnamese enterprises in 19 European countries; Vietnamese embassies and trade offices in Hungary and some European countries.
The Forum is an annual activity of the European Overseas Vietnamese Business Association, a social organization for Vietnamese businessmen living and working in European countries and is held in rotation in member countries. This is a major activity of the Vietnamese business community in Europe, attracting the attention and participation of many large domestic and foreign enterprises, a place to meet and exchange market experiences for Vietnamese enterprises operating in locations around the world.
At the Forum, a video was shown introducing the formation and development process of the Vietnam National Brand Program over the past 20 years, while providing information on the achievements of Vietnam's national brand value as well as Vietnamese enterprises.
Within the framework of the Forum, the Department of Trade Promotion organizes a display area for goods and communication products including publications (printed and electronic), leaflets, brochures, standees (about 100 m2), to introduce the Vietnam National Brand Program and products achieving Vietnam National Brand, combining direct trade for national brand enterprises with overseas Vietnamese enterprises in Europe, foreign enterprises/importers.
Speaking at the Forum, Mr. Le Hong Minh - Director of the Center for Investment Promotion and Industrial and Trade Development (Trade Promotion Agency - Ministry of Industry and Trade) highlighted: The Party and State of Vietnam always highly appreciate the role of the overseas Vietnamese business community in other countries, orienting and directing ministries and branches to implement activities to strengthen the connection between overseas Vietnamese and their homeland, contributing to promoting the strength of national unity to serve the cause of national construction and development.
Pursuant to Conclusion 12-KL/TW dated August 12, 2021 of the Politburo on the work of overseas Vietnamese in the new situation and Resolution 169-NQ/CP dated December 31, 2021 of the Government on continuing to promote the work of overseas Vietnamese in the period of 2021 - 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Trade assigned the Trade Promotion Agency to coordinate with the Union of Vietnamese Business Associations in Europe to continue to promote trade promotion activities, strengthen connections within the business community, create momentum to promote export growth, contributing to socio-economic development.

In recent times, with the active support of the overseas Vietnamese business community in Europe, trade promotion activities have achieved positive results and increasingly affirmed their important role, contributing significantly to the growth and expansion of export markets, building the brand and image of Vietnam, especially Vietnamese agricultural products in the European market in particular and the world in general.
Through the distribution system of overseas Vietnamese businesses, quality Vietnamese products are not only used by the Vietnamese community, but also reach local consumers the fastest, which is the shortest way to promote and advertise quality Vietnamese products, bringing high trade promotion efficiency.
In the trend of international economic integration, strengthening cooperation and promoting trade promotion activities is inevitable and necessary. The Vietnamese business delegation attending this Forum includes more than 29 enterprises in the fields of agricultural products, food, textiles, and pharmaceuticals to meet and discuss with overseas Vietnamese enterprises in other countries about cooperation and business opportunities. The representative of the Trade Promotion Department hopes that overseas Vietnamese enterprises in Europe will continue to coordinate and connect trade to support domestic enterprises to quickly participate in the distribution system in Europe, as well as access advanced technologies to modernize production lines, improve product quality, and contribute to promoting the industrialization and modernization of the country.
In addition, in order to promote the Vietnam National Brand Program, the Ministry of Industry and Trade assigned the Trade Promotion Department to coordinate with relevant domestic and international units to implement trade promotion activities combined with introducing the image of Vietnam. This is the first time that the promotion and introduction of the Vietnam National Brand Program and products achieving the Vietnam National Brand Program have been carried out in Europe through this Forum and other trade promotion activities to promote to the Vietnamese community as well as consumers in the European region.
The implementation of propaganda and promotion for the National Brand Program and products achieving the National Brand at the 12th European Overseas Vietnamese Business Forum not only helps the brands of prestigious and top-quality Vietnamese products get closer to the overseas Vietnamese community in Europe, but also provides an opportunity for European businesses in general and Hungarian businesses in particular to collect information, market marketing, and trading places for international businesses to approach and cooperate in investing in the Vietnamese market.
The Vietnam National Brand Program (VNB) is a unique, long-term and specific trade promotion program of the Government, approved by the Prime Minister since 2003, assigned to the Ministry of Industry and Trade as the presiding agency, coordinating with ministries/sectors, localities, industry associations and enterprises to organize implementation, with the goal of developing the VNB through supporting enterprises to build and develop strong brands in the economy to promote the image of Vietnam as a country with quality goods and services, building prestige and enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnamese enterprises in the domestic and international markets. In order to introduce and promote the Vietnam National Brand Program and products and services that have achieved the National Brand to the community, consumers, investors, international trade and import-export partners, since 2021, the Secretariat of the Vietnam National Brand Program - the Trade Promotion Agency, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has coordinated with embassies, representative agencies of Vietnam, and Vietnam Trade Offices in other countries to carry out many communication and promotion activities about the National Brand Program and products that have achieved the National Brand at major and typical events and through foreign media channels such as: "Hybrid exhibition of Vietnam National Brand Week 2021 in Singapore - Halal products and processed foods"; Cultural Week of countries in the Netherlands; Vietnamese Goods Week at Asian supermarkets and Dutch supermarkets; posting news and articles in Diplomat Magazine, on the websites of Dutch agencies and organizations, etc. |
