At the ceremony, Ms. Hoang Thi Ngoc Mai, Permanent Deputy Head of the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club (under the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Conservation Support Fund) announced the decision to establish and recognize the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club in Europe.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Dang Thi Bich Lien sincerely thanked the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary for its sponsorship and support to make the launching event of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club in Europe a great success.

Chairwoman of the Women's Club with Cultural Heritage, Honorary President of the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club, former Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Dang Thi Bich Lien spoke at the Program.

Ms. Dang Thi Bich Lien emphasized the historical significance as well as the cultural value of the Ao Dai, the costume that has been associated with the Vietnamese people and women for generations. Appreciating the love for the homeland as well as the Ao Dai of Vietnamese women abroad, Ms. Dang Thi Bich Lien expressed her belief that the establishment of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club in Europe will continue to spread and promote the beauty of the Ao Dai heritage to international friends.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam (Deputy Director of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Conservation Support Fund, Head of the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club) highly appreciated the solidarity of the club members in the European countries. The love for traditional cultural heritage has motivated practical actions to promote the image of Vietnam, including the image of Vietnamese Ao Dai, to international friends.

In her congratulatory message at the ceremony, Ambassador Nguyen Thi Bich Thao expressed her joy at the establishment of the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club in Europe and the beautiful capital of Budapest as the venue for the Club's launching ceremony. The Ambassador assessed the establishment of the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club in Europe as an extremely meaningful event, towards the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Hungary and many other European countries in 2025.

The Ambassador hopes that the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club in Europe will have more positive activities to promote Vietnamese culture in general and Ao Dai in particular in the coming time. At the same time, he committed that the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary will always accompany the activities of the Club.

Ms. Kese Beatrix, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Hungarian Parliament, expressed that she felt very close to her heart when wearing the Vietnamese ao dai to attend the ceremony. She also shared that she learned a lot about the historical value and development of the Vietnamese ao dai.

Art performances at the Program

On the Hungarian Parliament side, Ms. Kese Beatrix affirmed that she will fully support activities to promote and spread the image of Ao Dai and Vietnamese culture to the Hungarian people, as well as international friends.

The club's launching ceremony was even more impressive with many unique performances such as conical hat dance, fan dance, calligraphy dance combined with Ao Dai costumes, performed by nearly 100 members of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club from European countries of many generations.

At the ceremony, the European Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club launched its Executive Committee of 25 members, headed by President, Dr. Phan Bich Thien. On behalf of the Club, Dr. Phan Bich Thien expressed his joy at the birth of the European Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club. This is a new milestone in promoting and spreading the beauty and cultural value of the Vietnamese Ao Dai.

Ms. Dang Lan Huong, Vice President of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club in Europe, President of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club in Slovakia, said that women in Slovakia always have a special affection for Ao Dai as well as actively participate in events promoting Vietnamese culture. The launching ceremony of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club in Slovakia will take place on the occasion of the upcoming Vietnamese Women's Day, October 20.
