Mr. Vu Nguyen Quang Vinh - Vice Chairman of District 1 People's Committee - assessed that the pilot sidewalk fee collection has contributed to improving urban order, creating a neater landscape, ensuring safe and clear walkways for pedestrians without affecting general traffic. In addition, the application of technology to sidewalk management has helped reduce administrative procedures, saving costs and human resources.

"When 52 routes are deployed simultaneously, the workload of the wards will increase 4 times compared to the pilot period. Therefore, during the implementation period, it is very necessary to have the awareness of compliance of organizations and individuals. Relevant agencies and units must also strengthen supervision and management," Mr. Vinh emphasized.
