Tien Luc relic complex receives Certificate of ranking as Special National Monument

The Tien Luc communal house, temple and pagoda complex in Lang Giang district (Bac Giang province) received the National Special Monument ranking certificate on April 16.

On April 16, at Tien Luc Relic Complex, the People's Committee of Lang Giang District (Bac Giang Province) held a ceremony to receive the Certificate of National Special Relic Ranking for the Tien Luc Communal House, Temple and Pagoda Relic Complex.

The complex of relics of Tien Luc communal house, temple and pagoda includes architectural works of art: Phuc Quang pagoda, Tien Luc temple, Thuan Hoa communal house, Vien Son communal house and Da huong tree. Of which, Phuc Quang pagoda preserves nearly 100 Buddha statues, most of which are from the Nguyen Dynasty (19th-20th century).

Tien Luc Temple, Thuan Hoa Communal House and Vien Son Communal House all worship the village's Thanh Hoang, Cao Son God, Quy Minh Dai Vuong.

These were generals under the reign of King Hung Due Vuong the 18th who helped the people fight against the Thuc army in the third century (BC), bringing a peaceful life to their homeland and country.

In particular, this place is famous for its thousand-year-old Wild Rosewood tree, which was granted the title "Quoc Chua Do Moc Da Dai Vuong" (the largest Wild Rosewood tree in the country) by King Le Canh Hung, the 44th year (1783).

With its typical values ​​and unique architectural art, in 1989 the relic complex of communal house, temple, pagoda and Tien Luc wild incense tree was ranked as a national architectural-artistic type by the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism).

On May 13, 2020, Tien Luc relic cluster was recognized by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province as a tourist destination of the province.

On January 12, 2022, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism decided to include Tien Luc Festival as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

On November 26, 2024, the Prime Minister decided to rank the Tien Luc Communal House, Temple and Pagoda Complex as a Special National Monument.

This creates conditions for the cultural sector, Lang Giang district and Tien Luc commune to strengthen the implementation of solutions to protect and promote the value of relics associated with tourism development.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province Mai Son emphasized: The relic complex of Tien Luc communal house, temple and pagoda has become the sixth special national relic in the province to be ranked by the Prime Minister.

This is an honor and pride not only for the people of Lang Giang district, Tien Luc commune but also for the entire people of Bac Giang province.

To promote the potential, historical and cultural values ​​of this special national relic, Mr. Mai Son suggested: In the coming time, the Party Committee, government and local people need to focus on building and effectively implementing a plan to preserve, restore and promote the value of the special national relic of the Tien Luc communal house, temple and pagoda complex, associated with sustainable tourism development; strengthen coordination with all levels and sectors, especially the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, mobilize social resources and knowledge of scientists and culturalists in preserving, restoring, affirming and promoting the value of the relic.

At the same time, the locality has stepped up propaganda about the value of the Tien Luc Communal House, Temple and Pagoda Relic Complex to the people and tourists inside and outside the province; focused on educating the younger generation in promoting and protecting the values ​​of the relics, making the Tien Luc Communal House, Temple and Pagoda Relic Complex a practical learning place for students to learn about the history and culture of the locality.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Lang Giang district organized the opening ceremony of Tien Luc Festival.

The festival is held on the 18th, 19th, and 20th of the third lunar month; taking place in four main areas: Phuc Quang Pagoda, Tien Luc Temple, Thuan Hoa Communal House, Vien Son Communal House, and the Da Huong tree.

Tien Luc Festival is a place to preserve good traditional cultural values ​​from many generations, has great spiritual significance for the community, and demonstrates the solidarity of Vietnamese people from ancient times./.
