Comrade Vo Dang Dung, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of Thanh Xuan District People's Committee chaired the celebration ceremony.

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the 90-year tradition of building, fighting and growing of the militia and self-defense force in general and the Thanh Xuan district militia and self-defense force in particular.

Over the past years, the Thanh Xuan district militia and self-defense force has fully completed the tasks of being on duty, being ready for combat, preventing and fighting natural disasters, searching and rescuing; well performing the tasks of training, being ready for combat, conducting drills, competitions, sports events... truly being a reliable force of the Party Committee, government and people in building a strong district defense zone, contributing to building a solid city defense zone.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Vo Dang Dung requested agencies and units in the district to regularly grasp and master the Party's military guidelines; strengthen political and ideological education for the armed forces and militia. Pay attention to building a strong armed force, militia, and reserve force in all aspects of politics, ideology, and organization. At the same time, do a good job of training and combat readiness, so that the armed forces in general and the militia in particular are truly capable of solving problems arising at the grassroots level.

On this occasion, Thanh Xuan District People's Committee awarded 8 collectives and 42 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnam Militia and Self-Defense Forces.
