This is an activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

At the meeting, delegates watched a report on the resistance war against the US to save the country; exchanged and discussed with historical witnesses and young people of Hoang Mai district.

Through that, many brave stories about the 81-day and night battle to protect Quang Tri ancient citadel by Ms. Truong Vi Tiem (a veteran of Tran Phu ward), or the extremely difficult tasks for a female driver of Truong Son on many roads heavily damaged by bombs and bullets by Ms. Bui Thi Van (a former youth volunteer of Dinh Cong ward)... brought emotion and pride. These stories have added faith, noble ideals and patriotism to the younger generations.

Speaking at the meeting, Hoang Mai District Party Secretary Nguyen Xuan Linh respectfully thanked and acknowledged the valuable contributions of veteran comrades, former youth volunteers, and former People's Police in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign in the past and in the cause of national construction and protection today.

Hoang Mai District Party Secretary Nguyen Xuan Linh affirmed that the war has long gone, but the noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", the People's Public Security soldiers, the youth volunteers, and the militia and self-defense forces of the past still shine in today's life. With concrete and practical actions, comrades not only continue to write the heroic history, but also contribute to cultivating and preserving the core values, creating the strength of the Vietnamese people in general and Hoang Mai district in particular.

Regarding the socio -economic results of Hoang Mai district since the beginning of the year, the Secretary of the Hoang Mai District Party Committee said that the district's economic growth reached 10.6% over the same period in 2024, the state budget revenue reached 53.3% of the city's assigned estimate; in particular, the results of the public consultation on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Hoang Mai district had high consensus (results: The consultation on the plan to arrange commune-level administrative units in the district had the number of votes in agreement being 121,011/122,086 total households, reaching 99.12%; the consultation on the name of the new administrative unit according to the plan had the number of votes in agreement being 120,453/122,086 total households, reaching 98.66%)... That result had important contributions from the comrades attending today's meeting.

“I believe that the team of veterans, former youth volunteers, and former People's Police in the district, with their love, responsibility, talent, and creativity, can all contribute to the Party and local government in their own way, work more and more actively, and make greater and greater contributions to the common cause of the Party and the nation,” said comrade Nguyen Xuan Linh.

Hoang Mai District Party Secretary Nguyen Xuan Linh also noted that today's young generation must live, study, work and contribute in a way worthy of the sacrifices of their fathers and brothers; build a strong country, develop rapidly and sustainably, firmly protect national independence and sovereignty, and maintain peace - so that the sacrifices and hardships that the previous generation has gone through must be the foundation for the next generation to build and develop.
