DHAKA TRIBUNE. Bangladesh has announced an international tender for 24 oil and natural gas exploration blocks in the Bay of Bengal, as it seeks to boost energy production.
XINHUA. Israel has released 56 Palestinian detainees during a recent ground operation in the war-torn territory, according to a statement from the Gaza Strip Border Authority.
ANADOLU. Saudi Arabia's King Salman has called in his Ramadan message to the international community to end "horrific crimes" in Gaza, where the Israel-Hamas war has been raging for more than five months.
Europe
AP. For the first time, the Swedish flag was raised at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, marking the Nordic country's membership in the world's largest military alliance.

AFP. EU evacuates entire Diplomatic staff have been evacuated from Haiti due to a serious deterioration in the security situation, with armed gangs controlling much of the country's capital.

GUARDIAN. The Panamanian government has accused international aid organizations of abetting the flow of refugees from South America who are walking through the Darién Gap jungle on their way to the United States.
COSTA RICA NEWS. Costa Rica has begun implementing a series of projects to produce electricity from renewable energy sources with a total investment of 540 million USD to achieve its emissions target by 2050, as committed at COP26.
BUENOS AIRES TIMES. Argentina has created a crisis committee to address violence linked to drug gangs in the city of Rosario, the capital of Santa Fe province.
TELESUR. Heavy rains in the Bolivian capital La Paz have forced the city government to declare a state of emergency.
AP. Mexico's Ministry of Health has warned of a possible dengue outbreak, after recording nearly 6,200 cases of dengue in the first two months of this year, an increase of 468.4% compared to the same period in 2023.

SUDAN TRIBUNE. There will be no ceasefire during Ramadan unless the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) withdraw from residential areas, according to General Yasser al-Atta, a senior Sudanese military official.
