(BD) - On the morning of March 27, the Provincial People's Committee held a reception and worked with Mr. Akasaka Hideki, a dispatched staff of Izumisano City (Japan) in Binh Dinh province, on the occasion of his ending his working term in the province from 2023 to present.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh chaired the meeting; with the participation of leaders of the Departments: Foreign Affairs, Finance, Health; Quy Nhon University; Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of the province.
Mr. Akasaka Hideki shared his good impressions of Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh, thanked the provincial leaders and departments for creating favorable conditions and supporting him during his work. At the same time, he reviewed some of the work, cooperation activities, and friendly exchanges between Binh Dinh province and Izumisano city in the past that he had contributed to connecting.
In the fields of culture, arts and tourism: In August 2023, a delegation of students and Shorinji Kempo martial artists from Nippon Sports Science University attended the 8th International Festival of Vietnamese Traditional Martial Arts in Binh Dinh, exchanging with lecturers and students of Quy Nhon University. In January 2024, Izumisano City sent a Senshu Sorya dance troupe to perform Yo-sa- koi , a traditional Japanese art in Quy Nhon City. In December 2024, the two sides coordinated to screen a video promoting Binh Dinh tourism at Sakai International Airport (Izumisano City) and screen a video promoting Izumisano City tourism on outdoor LED screens in Quy Nhon City.
In the field of education and training: In August 2024, a delegation of students and teachers from Izumisano City went to Binh Dinh for a friendly exchange. It is expected that in April 2025, Quy Nhon University and Nippon Sports Science University will sign a cooperation agreement in a number of academic fields.
In the economic and investment field: Some enterprises from Izumisano City came to Binh Dinh to attend the Binh Dinh - Japan Meeting 2023 event to explore investment opportunities. In July 2024, the Binh Dinh Province Young Entrepreneurs Association visited and worked with the Japan Young Entrepreneurs Association (YEG) in Izumisano City.
Medical field: From October to December 2024, two doctors from the provincial General Hospital participated in a 3-month training at IGT Clinic (Izumisano City) on vascular intervention techniques in cancer treatment, under the guidance of Professor Shinichi Hori.
Speaking at the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh said that since 2019, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province and the government of Izumisano city have signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the fields of administration, culture, tourism, training and other fields. Accordingly, the two sides regularly deepen mutual understanding through exchange activities, delegation exchanges, organizing conferences, calling for investment promotion, etc. In April 2024, a delegation of Binh Dinh province led by the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee visited and worked with the government of Izumisano city, and businesses in Japan, thereby continuing to expand investment cooperation and exchanges between people and businesses of the two localities.

Comrade Nguyen Tuan Thanh, on behalf of the provincial leaders, respectfully thanked Mr. Akasaka Hideki for his highly responsible working spirit and many positive contributions , which have significantly contributed to the development and expansion of cooperation and friendly exchange activities between Binh Dinh province and Izumisano city in many fields and achieved clear results, contributing to strengthening the relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
