"In the context of the complicated developments in the world and the region, Vietnam's sending of forces to participate in the parade at Red Square is a concrete action to consistently implement the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification, demonstrating Vietnam's responsibility in building and maintaining an environment of peace, stability, cooperation and development," Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien emphasized.
According to the Deputy Minister of National Defense, the presence of the Vietnamese army at the parade on Red Square is also an opportunity to enhance the image, position and mettle of the Vietnam People's Army - a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, gradually modern army, ready to contribute to the common efforts of the international community for peace and sustainable development.
Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien requested the forces participating in the parade to promote the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", strictly abide by discipline, proactively overcome difficulties, uphold determination and solidarity, complete assigned tasks well, ensure absolute safety in all aspects, thereby contributing to spreading the good image of Vietnamese soldiers in the eyes of international friends.
A representative of Army Officer School 1 said that over the past time, the school has led, directed and thoroughly implemented the directives of the Minister of National Defense and instructions from competent agencies on organizing forces to participate in the parade.
Up to now, the forces participating in the parade have performed the movements of marching, standing at attention, and saluting in a uniform, beautiful, unified, and powerful formation, following the rhythm of the Russian marching music.
