Royal Cambodian and Lao armies rehearse for a parade in Binh Duong

The military delegations of the two countries attended the parade at the invitation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense , demonstrating the solidarity and friendship between the countries; at the same time, it was an opportunity to share joy with the Vietnamese people in the cause of fighting for national independence.

In addition to the components, units and armed forces of the Vietnamese people, this year's parade also had the participation of military delegations from China, Laos and the Royal Cambodian Army. This is the first time Vietnam has organized a parade with the participation of foreign military blocs, raising the significance of foreign affairs and affirming the increasingly close and strong defense cooperation relationship between the countries.

At the meeting with friendly military delegations, Colonel Nguyen Dinh Chuan, Political Commissar of Binh Duong Provincial Military Command, emphasized: "The 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day is a national event of profound political and historical significance, affirming the great stature of the 1975 Spring victory. Welcoming and supporting friendly military delegations is a responsibility and also a great honor for Binh Duong province."

Colonel Sompheng Keosira, Head of the Lao People's Army delegation, expressed his honor to participate in the parade in Vietnam. "I promise to do my best to fulfill my mission, contributing to the success of the April 30th celebration."

Mr. Bin Phoos, Commander of the intervention unit, Gendarmerie Command of the Royal Cambodian Army, said that his delegation of 119 officers and soldiers had 5 days of training in Vietnam after more than 10 days of training in Cambodia before.

“We are very proud to represent our country in this important parade. Thank you for the warm welcome from Binh Duong province,” said Mr. Bin Phoos.

Authorized by the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, the Military Command of Binh Duong province and departments and branches organized a working delegation to visit and encourage officers and soldiers of the Lao People's Army and the Royal Cambodian Army who are training locally.

The 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day will take place on April 30 on a large scale and with great historical significance. The parade is an important highlight, affirming the spirit of international solidarity and the tradition of close ties between the armies and people of all countries in the journey for peace and national independence./.
