Speaking at the opening ceremony of the contest, Colonel Tran Binh Trong, Deputy Chief of Staff of the 1st Corps, emphasized: The results of completing the tasks of the platoon depend largely on the level, organizational leadership and command capacity of the company officers. This contest is of great significance in continuing to consolidate the knowledge and comprehensive capacity of the team of company commanders and company political commissars, as a basis for improving the leadership of the Party Committee and Party cells; managing and commanding the unit to successfully complete all assigned tasks.

The contest content is the basic, comprehensive issues of all aspects of work that company cadres have regularly studied, researched and practiced in organizing, leading and commanding units to carry out tasks. Through the contest, the Corps will promptly learn from experience, overcome shortcomings; continue to direct units and schools to improve quality in all aspects of work; meet the requirements and tasks of building the Corps in the new situation.

Participating in the competition, 46 comrades who are company commanders and company political commissars from units and schools in the entire corps will perform the following exam contents: Military work (tactics, infantry combat techniques, regulations, physical strength); Party work, political work (general awareness test; practical test); logistics work; technical work.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the contestants took part in the military planning competition. The competition is scheduled to close on June 16.
