Quan Ba ​​is a border district of Ha Giang province with mountainous terrain, people's lives still face many difficulties, the situation of replanting opium poppies in ethnic minority areas is still at high risk. Together with the levels and sectors in the province and the locality, in the past time, Tung Vai Border Guard Station has implemented synchronous solutions to grasp the situation, mobilize the masses in the border area to "eliminate" the situation of planting and replanting opium poppies.

Tung Vai Border Guard Station propagates to the people and at the same time signs a commitment not to grow, transport, store or trade opium poppies.

Identifying that preventing the cultivation of opium poppies is an important task. Tung Vai Border Guard Station has directed professional teams to strengthen their work closely with the locality and base; closely follow each village, hamlet, and household group. Especially in isolated residential areas in remote areas, high mountains to promptly grasp the situation, thoughts , and lives of the people.

In fact, due to low awareness and understanding, many ethnic minorities still consider opium poppy as a pain reliever. Therefore, Tung Vai Border Guard Station has actively coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to promote mass mobilization with the motto of "going to every alley, knocking on every door, checking every subject" to achieve effectiveness.

Tung Vai Border Guard Station synchronously implements solutions to grasp the situation and mobilize the people in the border area to "eliminate" the situation of planting and replanting opium poppies.

Since the beginning of 2025 , Tung Vai Border Guard Station has carried out mass mobilization work to "eliminate" the situation of growing opium poppies in the three border communes of Tung Vai, Ta Van, and Cao Ma Po, attracting over 1,000 listeners. The unit coordinated with Cao Ma Po commune forces to propagate to 70 households in Chin Chu Lin village to sign a commitment not to grow, transport, store, or trade opium poppies. In the first quarter of 2025, in the border communes managed by the Station, no people were found growing or storing opium poppies.

In the coming time, Tung Vai Border Guard Station determined that continuing efforts to eliminate the cultivation and re-cultivation of opium poppies in the area is one of the key tasks. In particular, promoting propaganda and mobilizing people to actively participate in detecting, denouncing, and promptly preventing the cultivation of opium poppies. Thereby, contributing to ensuring the goal of maintaining stability and security in the border area.
