The People's Committee of Ba Dinh District said that the district had collected opinions from 58,256 voters representing households, reaching 99.48% of the total number of households in the area. Of which, the percentage of people agreeing with the plan to arrange administrative units in the district reached 99.07%.
Regarding the new administrative unit name option, 99.4% of the total number of voters representing households surveyed in the area agreed.
Previously, from 5:00 p.m. on April 19, the People's Committees of wards in Ba Dinh district deployed a plan to arrange the city's administrative units to residential groups and collected people's opinions in person combined with organizing propaganda conferences.
The residential groups in the area have focused on immediately implementing the collection of public opinions, with the focus time from the evening of April 19 and on April 20 to ensure progress according to Instruction No. 02/HD-UBND of the Hanoi People's Committee on organizing the collection of public opinions and approval of People's Councils at all levels on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Hanoi.
By 5:00 p.m. on April 20, many wards in the district had completed collecting opinions from 100% of household representatives, such as Vinh Phuc, Ngoc Ha, and Dien Bien wards. People in the wards expressed high consensus with the city's policy.
According to the administrative unit arrangement plan, Ba Dinh district is expected to establish 3 basic administrative units:
1. Ba Dinh basic administrative unit has a natural area of 2.95 km2 ; population size of 87,651 people.
2. Ngoc Ha administrative unit has a natural area of 2.62 km2 ; population size of 77,846 people.
3. Giang Vo administrative unit has a natural area of 2.58 km2 ; population size of 76,658 people.
Transfer the entire natural area and population of Phuc Xa ward to the Hong Ha basic administrative unit.
