Parents upset when teacher "asks for support to buy laptop"

Previously, as reported by Tuoi Tre , parents of class 4/3, Chuong Duong Primary School, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City sent a petition to the press agency in dissatisfaction with the incident where Ms. H. - the homeroom teacher of this class - asked parents for financial support to buy a laptop but was refused, and had words and actions that showed a lack of responsibility and ethics for a teacher.

Specifically, when she did not receive the consent of some parents, Ms. H. said she would not prepare a review outline for the students.

Besides, even though she said she "would not accept support" from parents to buy laptops anymore, Ms. H. still kept the fund of the class's parents' representative committee and did not return the money she wanted parents to support to buy laptops to the class's representative committee.

The incident made the parents of class 4/3 very upset and caused 25/27 parents of this class to submit a request to the school to change the homeroom teacher or transfer classes.

On September 30, 24/38 students of class 4/3 of this school asked for leave from school because they did not receive an official notice from the school about their teacher and were worried about how the "teacher asked for a laptop" incident would be handled.
